About Our Pastor Chuck and Pam
For over twenty five years, Pastor Chuck has worked with young people in various capacities including as a youth pastor, group home counselor, vocational counselor, and a vice-principal at Ivy Leaf Middle School. Pastor Chuck and his wife Pam have been married for 19 years and have three children: Charles (age 18), Christopher (age 15) and Christina (age 13). Together, they give leadership to a multi-faceted ministry that is impacting the lives of young people and their families throughout the Philadelphia region.
Educated in the Philadelphia Public School System, Pastor Chuck earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from Shippensburg University and a Master’s Degree in Education from Arcadia University. He also pursued advanced studies at Eastern Baptist Theological Seminary. Pastor Chuck is the youngest of seven children. During his formative years, he attended St. Joseph’s Baptist Church. In 1985, Pastor Chuck joined New Covenant Church of Philadelphia where he served in full time ministry as tape ministry director and youth pastor.
Pastor Pam believes that God can best use her life as she invests in her family, in ministry to others, and the community-at-large. She serves as an early intervention case manager, helping parents of pre-school children who have developmental delays to acquire therapy and appropriate schooling. For many years, she served as an administrator at Ivy Leaf School, a private school founded by her parents-William & Liller Green.
Pastor Pam graduated from Germantown High School. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary and Special Education from Hampton University and a Masters in Education from Emory University. Grace Baptist Church is where she received her early spiritual training. In 1986, she joined New Covenant Church of Philadelphia where she met and married her husband, Pastor Chuck Coleman.
In 1996, they started a non-profit outreach ministry called Inner City Youth Alive. This ministry uses a variety of creative methods such as music, drama, dance, rap, puppets, and games to attract people who ordinarily wouldn’t attend church. Through Inner City Youth Alive, thousands of children, youth and families have been touched. This is possible through the many faith-based partnerships that have been established with parents, public school educators, recreation center personnel, and community leaders – all working together to benefit young people and their families.
On September 12, 2004 Pastors Chuck & Pam began Touching Your World Church International–a church uniquely designed to touch children, youth, and adults who wouldn’t ordinarily attend church. Pastors Ray and Tracey Bernard, Founders/Senior Pastors of Impacting Your World Christian Center and Rev. Rick Fountain of Evangelism USA provide counsel and spiritual covering. Pastors Chuck and Pam are also members of CDMA, an association that offers spiritual covering, training and assistance. CDMA was founded by Pastors Creflo and Taffi Dollar (World Changers Church; Atlanta, GA).
